Into the Fury (BOSS, Inc.) by Kat Martin 5 Stars

A bodyguard, a bounty hunter, a P.I.—the men of Brodie Operations Security Service, Inc. are down for the job…

Sinners, whores, and sluts beware—your time is at hand: a faceless
menace is threatening lingerie models on a cross country tour, and
Ethan Brodie is there to defend and protect.

Ethan’s learned the hard way that beauty is no substitute for
character. So even though Valentine Hart is one of the most
breathtaking women he’s ever seen, he’s keeping his hands off and his
eyes open. Or that’s what he tells himself.

Then one of the models is murdered, and the closer Ethan gets to the
answers, the closer he finds himself to Valentine—and the hotter the
pressure feels. There’s more to Val—more to the other girls—than he
could have guessed. But one is keeping a secret that could kill them

This was the first book in the new BOSS, Inc. series. It is a spinoff
of her popular Brodies of Alaska series.

Nick’s cousin, Ethan, is the focus of this book. He works personal
protection for his family’s security firm and has just been assigned
to protect several top lingerie models who have received threatening
letters. Ethan has his own reasons to stay away from beautiful women,
we’ll all women really, so it was no hardship that the rules was to
stay away from the models. Valentine is a friend to Nick’s wife,
Samantha, who notices Ethan, but she has goals to accomplish, and a
relationship would just get in the way. Though she and Ethan set out
to avoid each other, Ethan receives a personal request to keep a
closer eye on Val. Being the guy he is, he takes this request to

The death of one of the other models, Ethan finds himself needing to
be closer to Val. As one would expect the more time the two spend
together the harder it is to resist each other. Ethan realizes she is
not just a model and the stereotype that is drawn with that
profession. The connection between them blossoms and the story becomes
super hot. The more time he spends with her, the more he realizes she
doesn’t fit the preconceived notions he had about her based on her
profession. Lives are on the line, the killer is loose.

There are a lot of sub characters to keep up with this book. Although
I am glad to read about Dirk and his lady, I did find it too much to
keep track of with such a busy book. All in all, I would recommend to
those who have or have not read the other series. Pick up this one,
you won’t be sorry.
