This Novella while well written is only getting 4 stars due to the way it jumps around. It’s hard to keep up with where we are in time in the book. The characters Brett and Piper from what you get to see, work very well with each other. They quite literally have a “whirlwind” romance in which they are only together in person twice before Brett decides he wants to be her forever. Brett recognizes Piper from seeing her when delivering items to the company that she works for, but Piper doesn’t recognize him. Piper at the beginning of the book gets a large promotion, and goes out to celebrate thinking a drink and a one night stand are all that she can afford right now with it being the busy season for the company she works for. Brett is out for the night after a long week at work ready for the long weekend ahead. While they seem to really have sexual chemistry, you don’t really get to see how they work together other than in that department due to the short length of the book. I feel that more could have been added to this novella to give more details into the characters, and even with that it could have still been kept at novella length. I will say that I like this authors writing style and will gladly read more of her work.
