Simply adorable. Fishing Hole was a sweet story about a woman learning to balance her sons with life along with her love life after a recent divorce that left her a little bit broken and torn down. What starts out as a rekindling of first love turned into a triangle that doesn’t end the way you would think that it would. Jesse, the main female character is sweet and tries to be good in all ways as well as take care of her sons the best that she can, but ends up finding her voice and strength by the end of the book. Levi, the main male character is a bit broken as well with tragedies in his past. But what truly evident is the love he has for Jesse even after all the years and distance that had separated them. Cole, the third male character comes in and turns Jesse inside out leaving Jesse with the only decision she can make. I was surprised with the transition of the alternating views for this book. They were subtle switch during the scenes and the chapters. You had to catch yourself in the beginning to understand the transition but then caught on. This for me is a “tissue” book. I was very much choked up in parts of this book. There were parts that definitely dragged out and could probably be shortened but the meat of the book was very captivating. I definitely read this within hours. The sexy scenes were just that…sexy. Some of them were pretty intense and hot. Others were very sweet and loving. I was not disappointed in them at all. They fit really well with the story. There were unresolved stories between the main characters and other sideline characters. I was disappointed to see that they were not tied up and left as loose ends. I really wanted to find out what happened between the main characters and these other people. All in all, very good book. I would definitely recommend this to someone to read if they like books like this. Can’t wait for the next book from this author.
