This is definitely a five star read. Sophie’s Voice is the 4th book in the Sex and Season series. The authors writing is great with narration in alternating persons. And the sex scenes are out of this world who knew the 19th century was so HOT!!!! This book us some mystery and slight silence also takes place.

Lady Sophie MacIntyre, timid, shy, and happy to live her life alone while caring for her family, has a voice of an angel. she decides to take bet with her sister and audition for the new local musical. It is there she meets Zachary Newland, the owner of the theater and an actor also. Instantly the chemistry and passion between Sophie and Zach is amazing. Not once does the passion they have not sizzle the pages. Both Zach and Sophie know what they want and despite anything, they will get what they want, and that’s them together. Deep in the shadows, someone else wants Sophie and won’t give up so easily. There is also another singer who wants Zach very much and does not go away quietly. The road for Sophie and Zach isn’t easy with Sophie’s stepfather not wanting the couple to court, mystery letters, and a crime. When Zach is held for a crime he didn’t commit, Sophie is right there to stand for her man even if it means she ruins her reputation. The love the blooms in this book is hot, sweet, and makes this book truly a historical romance you won’t put down.

This Historical read, is beautiful, hot, passion filled book you will not put down. This is my first read by Helen Hardt, but it sure will not be my last. Her research into the era is very accurate which helps the book flow. Be sure to read and maybe reread Sophie’s library find called An Introduction to the Marriage bed by Margaret Mead, definitely interesting. The amazing supporting characters in the book add humor, love, guideness , in which make me, know i will be reading all the books in this series.
