The Calling (Seer #2)The Calling by Rachelle Dekker

The Calling By Rachelle Dekker

In this book the point of view changes between the characters as different events take place. The writing in this book is done really well, and the only reason I chose to give it 4 stars instead of 5 is mainly due to how I found it somewhat difficult to follow. This is the first book I have read by this author and if you like novels set in the future I would say to definitely pick up this book. Remko, Carrington, Selena, Elise, Wire, Kate, and Sam as well as all of the other characters are all great. I love the setting of the book and how it is talking about how the future will possibly be something completely different then what a lot of people envision the future to be. Remko is a very strong alpha male type, and Carrington his wife makes the perfect counterpart to him. Elise is their daughter, Selena comes to them later in the story with her two daughters as she is trying to give her daughters a better life. Wire seems to be the tech guru and is extremely smart. Kate and Sam are siblings who have been seers the longest of the group. Each character plays a different role within the group and that will all be revealed as you read the book. I will say that this book does end in a cliffhanger and I cannot wait to see what happens next with this group of characters. Knowing how things played out in this book I can only imagine what will happen in the next. There is a lot of angst in this book as you go through it and I am hopeful that the next book will be just as good as this one. Thank you Ms. Dekker for writing such a good book.
