Married for Christmas by Noelle Adams
I really liked this book it is an easy read with good strong characters. Jessica is a simple girl who lives alone with Bear her dog and has worked from home for the past three years. Between work and driving some distance to take care of her only parent, she has no time for friends or dating, except for her friend Daniel. Jessica and Daniel have been friends forever, as kids they lived next door to each other, went to the same school, and church together. After graduating from seminary six years ago, Daniel had gotten a job as a pastor of a small church and moved to the same town where Jessica lives. Jessica has been Daniel’s strength and friend to lean on, because Daniel has suffered a life changing tragedy and questions God’s reasoning for his life. Now Jessica is 28 yrs. old and wants a husband and family, the problem is, she has no boyfriend and no prospect of finding one. Jessica begins to lay a plan to marry Daniel not for love but convenience. At first Daniel thinks she has lost her mind but soon he begins to agree with Jessica because he believes he can never find love again, and they marry. They decide to move back home to the town they grew up in and now that he is married, Daniel can accept a job as the pastor of the church he knows so well. Now Jessica is a pastor’s wife. She has no idea what a pastor’s wife is supposed to do or her place in the church and town. Together they face the struggles of a marriage that’s not a marriage of love. Will they find the love they want or will it always be out of convenience? You will have to read this book to find out what happens with these two adorable people, but I’m pretty sure you will be as glad that you read it as I was!!!!! This is the first book I’ve read by Noelle Adams but it won’t be the last. She has a talent for making you fall in love with these characters, and a huge white dog. I love her story telling skills.
